GadgetThe functions and settings to activate immediately in Apple's wireless earphonesWe have selected seven practical functions to immediately set up on the AirPods Pro wireless headphones for a more fluid and comfortable experience in daily use. The starting point is the menu that can be reached by following the path Settings > Bluetooth > AirPods Pro info icon.
Continue playback when you remove an earphoneThe function, activated by default and based on the proximity sensor, of stopping the music when you take off an earphone is not appreciated by everyone, also because you can pause it with a simple touch . But you can easily turn it off with the switch under Automatic Ear Detection.
Changing the name of AirPods ProThe first item in the menu allows you to change the name of your headphones, which not only guarantees more customization, but can also be useful for speeding up operations when looking for the device to pair via bluetooth in public places full of "AirPods Pro by...".
Deactivate the automatic switch foreverAnother inconvenient default function is the automatic change of the pairing of the AirPods Pro between the various connected devices such as iPhone, iPad or Mac, which often creates unwanted switches. From the settings page (see previous point), just go to Connect to this iPhone / iPad / Mac and, from Automatically, choose On last connection to this iPhone / iPad / Mac.
Customize the actions associated with thetouch
The small temple of the earphones includes a sensor that detects various touch depths. From Settings > Bluetooth > Information icon > Press and hold the AirPods (right or left) you can choose what happens when you long press one or the other headphones between activating Siri, noise control and above all the useful (and otherwise not present by default) off mode and to deactivate both the background noise cancellation and the transparent mode to the benefit of the battery. We remind you that it is possible to choose the three modes also from any associated Apple Watch, through AirPlay.
Even the double tap can be customized with the same procedure, for example to activate Siri; increase or decrease; play, pause or stop audio content, or skip to the next or previous track.
Favoring the microphone on the right or leftBy default automatic and favoring the headset that is worn, it is possible to choose from the information page to indicate the microphone to use so that it continues to record even if it is removed from the ear: a useful option if, for example, you want to use the AirPods as a mini wireless microphone.
Personalize the soundTake advantage of the personalized sound configuration for a more personal touch. First you have to go to Settings > Music > Eq tapping No, then from Settings > Accessibility > Audiovisual content you can adjust the Balance slider and from Settings > Accessibility > Audiovisual content > Headphone Adjustments > Custom Audio Setup Just follow the on screen instructions for your preference. You can also customize the transparency mode from Settings > Accessibility > Audiovisual content > Headphone Adjustments > Transparency Mode > Custom Transparency Mode.
Play the headphones to find themA great classic: one or both headphones are no longer found at home, perhaps buried under clothes or tucked under the sofa cushion. From the Where's app, you can tap on the name of the earphones and choose Play.
