"Parcel arriving, follow it here": and so the scam arrives via SMS - HDblog.it

"Your package is on its way, follow it here": this is the text of the SMS, coming from an unknown number, which many users have received in the last few weeks, followed by a link where presumably they can track the delivery. Obviously, don't click on it: it's a scam attempt.

In a period in which more and more purchases are made online, and therefore the probabilities that a package will be on its way home are much higher than some time ago, the risk of falling into the trap of the SMS related to a delivery is significantly greater.

The pattern is the classic one of many computer scams: a short text message arrives on the smartphone and invites us to click on a link to complete an urgent operation. If only it weren't for the fact that the hyperlink leads to a site, designed to resemble in all respects to that of a normal shipping company, where a payment is required to unlock the package being delivered since the shipping costs would not have yet been welded.
