The new trick to recover deleted photos and stories from Instagram

It is often said that social networks do not forgive: if you post something you risk never really being able to delete it, because there is always a way - starting with the screenshot - in which someone could keep it and withdraw it out.

But what if the problem is the opposite, and you regret having deleted something you would like to recover instead, such as an Instagram photo? Well, the important thing is to repent quickly, and at that point there is a way to recover everything

Instagram has added a new "Recently Deleted" folder to the app menu. The folder temporarily stores posts after you remove them from your profile or archive, giving you the option to restore them if you change your mind.

The folder is divided into sections: IGTV, Reels, posts, and stories. Of course no one else can see your recently deleted posts, but for you they are also kept for a fairly long period. IGTV photos and videos remain in the folder for up to 30 days before disappearing forever. Stories, on the other hand, remain available for up to 24 hours before being permanently removed.

Instagram explains that it has introduced the function above all to allow those whose accounts are hacked to restore their posts. But of course, once the function is there, you can use it for any other reason.

To access the folder, simply go to Settings> Accounts> Recently Deleted. And then choose from Photos, IGTV Videos, Reels or Stories to find what you are looking for.

Just click on "Restore" to get back everything you want.
