Twitch - the well -known Livestreaming platform for gaming - has integrated the support to Shareplay of iOS 15 and iPados 15, the function that with iPhone and iPad allows you to look together events, share the screen and multimedia elements on FaceTime.
Thanks to Shareplay, those who use an iPhone, an iPad or a Mac can live shared experiences with friends and family during a facetime phone call. For example, users can chat with each other while watching a movie together, listen to an album or complete a fitness challenge together, even at a distance: Shareplay maintains these activities synchronized for all people who participate in the call.
In the Twitch FAQs it is explained that Shareplay allows participants to chat, follow, register, cheer with "Cheer" or Bit (virtual goods that you can buy and use to demonstrate your support).
To take advantage of Shareplay with Twitch, participants must start a facetime with each other, then open the twitch app to start the stream to be watching together.
Apple explains that Shareplay is a set of functions that allow you to share "experiences" via facetime by offering users new ways to keep in touch. The functionality in question is compatible with Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple Fitness+ and many of the best known apps such as NBA, Tiktok, Twitch, Paramount+ and Showtime, and allows you to watch movies and TV series, listen to music or train together with friends during oneCall FaceTime.
Shareplay also works with Apple TV: the user can watch content on the TV screen while using FaceTime on iPhone or iPad.Thanks to the possibility of sharing the screen, the user can also do other things, such as surfing the internet, watching photos or showing something in his favorite app.Shareplay is available with iOS 15.1, iPados 15.1 and TVOS 15.1, and should also arrive shortly on macOS.
