New grain for Google: the reports of users owners of Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL are multiplying affected by a mysterious problem that makes the smartphone completely unusable.
To be honest, this is not even a new situation, but a question that has been dragging for months without a solution: from December last year until a few days ago, on Reddit, on the Google Pixel support forum and onAndroid Issue Tracker, several users have reported the misadventures lived with their own Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL.

Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL: the situation
An example from Reddit talks about a smartphone put in charge before going to sleep and found when you wake up with the black screen and blocked in Edl Mode.
For the uninitiated, Edl stands for Emergency Download and is a mode available on smartphones with Qualcomm chipset which, in case of damage to the system, allows you to recover data or perform operations such as unbricking and device flash.
Apparently, for users found with the smartphone blocked in EDL mode this has translated into the lack of input on the screen and in the failure to function of the physical keys.Put simply, in a brickly and unrecoverable smartphone.
Another post on Android Issue Tracker, always concerning a Google Pixel 3 XL, describes a similar situation: «Suddenly my smartphone decided to stop working during the night, while it was in charge on my bedside table (via cable, notWireless, if it matters).Power key not working, black screen, no charge indication or LED when connected, no calls,etc..etc.(it's literally a brick).Power + Voltown does nothing to access Bootloader/Restore menu ».
Some users have blamed a recently installed software update, others simply do not understand the cause.
Smartphones affected by the problem can be recharged, however the screen does not turn on and does not work.Connected to the PC, the smartphone is seen as "Qusb_bulk_cid" (followed by the serial number), confirming that it is in Edl Mode.
To worry more users, however, is the fact that the problem suddenly presents itself, creating many potentially dangerous inconveniences and situations: in one case, the user was driving and was using Google Maps on the 3 XL pixel to orientate andSpotify to listen to music, when the smartphone went out and has never reinforced.
Google's silence
Although this problem has been dragging for months and the reports of the users are numerous, at present Google did not speak of the problem, nor has it made an official guide available to its users.
Just over a month ago Google had decided to extend the guarantee of some 4 xl pixels to solve a problem related to nutrition, now there is another problem to which Big G should turn his attention.
If you are owners of a Google Pixel 3 or Google Pixel 3 XL and you find yourself in a similar situation, do not hesitate to tell us about your experience in the comments. In any case, the first thing to do is of course to contact the official assistance of the manufacturer. In the hope that it will go better than to an unfortunate owner of Google Pixel 4a: his smartphone taken for just 4 months had started to restart randomly showing the wording "No OS Was Found";sent to Big G, the replacement of the device was so troubled as to push the user to buy an iPhone and keep the pixel as a spare smartphone.
