How to move apps to SD
First of all, you need to understand if your Android device allows you to move applications to SD: even if there is a slot for inserting microSDs, this operation is not always available . Also, not all applications can be transferred, even though your smartphone allows you to move.
In particular, in the last case, there are applications that cannot be moved to an external SD card if the phone has not been subjected to the so-called root. It's a process that on Android allows us to overcome all the restrictions that prohibit access to deep areas of the system and, therefore, to become 100% administrators of your smartphone and modify it to your liking (as developers do). This is an absolutely legal procedure, but we remind you that it can invalidate the guarantee of your smartphone.
If your Android device does not allow the option to move data to the SD card by default, the road is therefore not easy and we advise you to leave it alone.
Move apps to SD without root
To move apps to SD card (and understand if it's actually an operation you can do) you need to go to the home page of your device and go to settings (the whose icon is usually a gear). Then you have to perform the following steps:
- select the Application (or App) Management item from the Settings menu;
- tap on the list of your applications;
- choose the app you want to move to the microSD;
- click on Memory and select the Change button;
- you are presented with two options: internal memory and SD card;
- choose the SD card option ;
- Wait for the Android system to complete the transfer of the app.
If you are unable to do this operation, as we saw in the previous paragraph, your Android device it does not have this feature and the application cannot be moved without root. But it could simply be that the selected application is already present on the SD card of your device.
