Apple iPhone 13 has a better repurchase value than Google's Pixel 6: that's what emerged from a SellCell report these hours. However, we wonder, with the arrival in Italy of google-phones, which flagship should be bought?
IPhone 13 keeps its value better over time
With the launch of the Pixel 6 series, BigG had tried to compete in the premium segment market against the likes of Apple and Samsung.
According to data from SellCell, who tried to find out which of the two smartphone lines held its value best, it seems that iPhone has taken over. The report compared information from the smartphone market and price comparisons between the two. He discovered that the 2021 apple line-up maintains its value better than the new Pixel 6. Looking at the data collected from over 45 repurchase providers, the Pixel 6 series lost on average about 43% of its value within a month of its launch.
On the other hand, the iPhone 13 family only saw a depreciation of about 25% within the first month of its release. In particular, the standard model saw an increase in value, with the positive trend that also includes the iPhone 13 mini. For those who didn't know, this model was the least popular model within the 2020 line-up. Interestingly, the basic Pixel 6 lost about 37% of its value compared to the 35% repurchase value of the iPhone 13 mini.
While the iPhone 13 series has seen an increase in repurchase value in the last two months, SellCell believes the same may not be reflected for the Pixel 6 models. Rather, the value of the latter could drop further before reaching the maximum limit in the next two months.
Attention: keep in mind that the repurchase value does not directly reflect the quality of smartphones, as it is known that iPhones generally maintain their value better than their Android counterparts.
