Setting the refresh rate to 120Hz on the Samsung Galaxy S20 in economy mode is possible. There is a trick that allows you to do this using Bixby Routines. That's all.
How to enable 120 Hz and energy saving at the same time
As is known, setting the display refresh rate to 120 Hz has a certain impact on the autonomy of smartphones. Which is why Samsung excludes it a priori on the Samsung Galaxy S20 when the energy saving mode is activated.
But there is a trick, the one we mentioned that, in essence, it allows through Bixby Routines to create a shortcut on the main screen that allows you to enable both options at the same time. Let's see how.
First we start Bixby Routines on the smartphone, then tap the "+" button in the upper right corner to create a new routine.
Once this is done, select "Activate" as the "If" condition; “Average energy savings” as a “Then” condition. We conclude by tapping on “Done” and assign a name to the routine, choosing to add it to the main screen.
Once this is done, all that remains is to make sure that the 120 Hz option is active from the Samsung Galaxy S20 screen settings, then activate the newly created routine from the main phone screen.
After turning off the screen for at least 5 seconds, you should have both options active: both the power saving mode and the 120 Hz display refresh rate.
