The possibility of expanding the RAM memory of your phone if necessary, and perhaps to be able to do it without additional costs, it seems too beautiful to be true.Yet this is precisely what, at least on paper, promises Samsung in a recent update destined for Serie A of its smartphones.
In the news introduced with the A528bxxu1auh9 version of the Operating System of the average new range of Samsung house, the Galaxy A52 5G, in fact stands out the presence of the so -called "Ramplus".By enabling this functionality, in fact, the manufacturer promises to add 4GB of virtual memory to the already present 6GB integrated in the smartphone, so as to reach 10 gigabytes available for the operation of applications and internal processes.
The way in which this process takes place is actually far from new: Samsung's Ramplus is nothing more than a more user-friendly term to define the memory pagination process (pay) of memory, already existing in most operating systemscomputers and smartphones.Pagination consists in the creation of an additional virtual memory when the RAM enters overloaded, taken "on loan" by a part of the internal storage space.Thanks to this data exchange it is possible to keep multiple applications in the background and improve the device performance even in stress conditions.
Samsung is not the first smartphone manufacturer to implement this strategy in recent months: the virtual expansion of the RAM is in the test phase in version 12.5 of the Miui di Xiaomi and has already been launched in the X60 series of Smartphone Viva at the beginning of 2021.The update that introduces the Ramplus for the Samsung A52 is so far available only for users residing in India, but an expansion is expected to also be expected to other markets.
