After months of speculation, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is finally official, a few months later than when we thought it would arrive, which is August 2021. Samsung showed it at CES 2022.
The new smartphone joins the family that already counts Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Ultra, and anticipates the arrival of the next Samsung Galaxy S22 by a few weeks.
The price indicated for the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is € 769 for the 6 / 128GB version, which becomes € 839 for the 8/256 version.
It's not exactly a sale price, but the specs of the new Samsung smartphone could justify it. Although, as you can see below, the standard Galaxy S21 is now cheaper. And the price is set to drop again next month when the S22 comes out.
It seems, however, that the Galaxy S21 FE should not be interpreted as a cheap variant, but as a new "middle" model in the S21 line.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE specifications
We have already tried and reviewed the Galaxy S21 FE, finding a very good smartphone, even if perhaps a little too expensive.
It has a 6.4 "FHD + 240Hz screen which, as is often the case with Samsung, is the spearhead of this device. The design is similar to that of the other S21s, and it's fantastic.
For photography, the new Galaxy S21 FE has the same 12MP sensor and ultra-wide-angle optics as the S21, an 8MP telephoto lens (on the S21 there is a 64MP one). On the front we have a 32MP sensor, compared to that of the 10MP of the previous model.
Inside we find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, with the two variants mentioned as regards RAM and storage. The battery is 4,500 mAh, with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. Present reverse charging, with 4.5 watts of power.
The operating system is Android 12 with Samsung's One UI 4 interface.
