The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE had a somewhat turbulent launch. The phone was supposed to go official just a year after the previous model's debut. However, it has been postponed several times due to the continuing global shortage of chips. As expected, the device has some improvements over the Galaxy S20 FE and offers a newer processor and design in line with the latest flagships. The South Korean OEM also made a change that may disappoint several users: it hasn't inserted a microSD card slot.
Why does the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE not have a microSD slot?
Yes, the Galaxy S21 FE doesn't have a microSD card slot, which means you won't be able to expand the storage space on your phone after purchasing one. Samsung's decision may irritate many loyal Galaxy users.
In fact, by doing so, you will be at the mercy of integrated storage and different cloud solutions. It must be said that the other S21 series phones also lack a slot for memory expansion using microSD cards, so we are not too surprised to see that the S21 FE lacks this element.
However, given its “FE (Fan Edition)“ status, we were hoping it could include memory expansion, given the large number of fans of the brand who actually appreciate the expansion of storage via microSD cards.
With the exclusion of a microSD slot, headphone jack and charger supplied, we are not sure how the phone manages to keep the FE "tag", at least if we intend to consider it as the direct heir of the Galaxy. S20 FE.
Will you buy the new Galaxy S21 FE? If so, what features attracted you to the phone, and if you're not upgrading, what is the reason? Let us know.
