Samsung Galaxy S22: the news concerns the dates of pre-order and shipment (or purchase in store) of the next series of smartphones. The always well-informed Jon Prosser, a leaker who often "got it right" regarding Samsung smartphones, said on his Twitter profile that the dates for the availability of the Galaxy S22 have changed compared to the previous roadmap.
We are therefore talking about 9 February for the opening of pre-orders and 25 February for shipping and availability in stores. The reason for the delay is once again linked to the semiconductor crisis. In particular, according to Prosser, there was "a rather significant problem in the supply chain" which led to the dates being revised with a few weeks of delay.
Previously, it was said that Samsung could use the opportunity of the CES in Las Vegas (Consumer Electronic Show) from 11 to 14 January, both to reveal the phones and the dates. Maybe it will but maybe it doesn't make much sense to present something that will be seen a month later.
Better then to prepare for an online home event (perhaps "hybrid"), to then launch towards the next sector event, the Iberian Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, starting on February 28th. Pandemic permitting.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 are probably among the most anticipated smartphones by consumers. Moreover, as some recent leaks show, it seems that 2022 will reserve several surprises also from the design point of view. If the models of the future range will remain three, Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra, only the first two will have the traditional size, with the last, that is the top of the range, much closer to its cousin Galaxy Note, of which Samsung ended the successful saga last August.
You write "S" you read "Notes"
In order not to disappoint fans of the stylus, already in 2021 the manufacturer had brought the possibility of using the S Pen to the Galaxy S21 Ultra. But this time it seems to have gone even further, giving the phone a more squared-off look, similar to the Note, and a rear housing to store the ballpoint pen. In short: the Galaxy S22 Ultra is actually the Galaxy Note 22.
Alongside these rumors, also the addition of a new color variant, this time green, on which Samsung would like to focus. It must be said that in the hi-tech field, the "green" has already been the protagonist of the year that is about to end. Samsung had chosen the hue to promote the latest Galaxy Watch 4, just like Apple did for the launch of its Watch Series 7.
