There is little to discuss, the facts speak: Samsung is currently the fastest and most punctual and monthly Android smartphone manufacturer as regards the monthly updates relating to Google's security patches as well as the correction of specific safety problems for its smartphones e Tablet.
The Korean society has earned this merit for several months now managing to make patches often available even before Google herself (even in April), sometimes even before the start of the month. To get an idea, Samsung today has already released the patches on over fifteen smartphones including all the new Galaxy S21, the two Galaxy Folds, the Galaxy S20 FE, all the Galaxy S10 and Note 10 and on Galaxy S9 and S9+.
Precisely for the S9 range it was the last update on a monthly basis. From now on, in fact, the smartphone will receive the patch on a quarterly basis. From next year, updates should become semester. For Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ we are now talking only about security patches since the version of Android will remain the 10th received in February last year.
Samsung has developed a well -defined update program: depending on the age of the device, there may be monthly, quarterly or half -yearly security patches. For most smartphones and tablets launched from 2019 onwards, security updates will be guaranteed for a minimum of four years.Samsung has spoken of over 130 devices involved in this new policy.
