Firmware updates for these Samsung phones being part of the Galaxy A series are coming to an end. Check the list to see if your device is among these products.

Samsung: goodbye to firmware support for these models

South Korean OEM offers extensive software update support for many of its listed terminals. However, there comes a time when the company has to pull the plug on some models. Once several years have passed since a phone has arrived on the market, it is no longer possible to keep releasing updates for it.

We haven't reached that point yet for many Galaxy A, but now we have a date of {\ fine} support for some midrange. We note that they have all been relegated from the quarterly update programme to the half-yearly one. This means that the terminals in question will only receive two firmware updates a year in the future.

Samsung: ecco quali telefoni non verranno più aggiornati

All Samsung smartphones and tablets go through this process. The last flagships, in particular the flagships, receive an update every single month. The vast majority receive one every quarter. The half-yearly cycle is the last step before software support for a device is permanently discontinued.

We note that the South Korean OEM has launched the November 2021 security patch for last week for many gadgets listed. The company has now detailed everything that this latest version of patches offers. He also updated the eligibility list for his devices.

The Galaxy A20s, Galaxy A30s, Galaxy A50s and Galaxy A70s were previously in the quarterly update cycle. Samsung will release a security patch for these articles once every quarter. They have already received their latest major update of the Android operating system but no new features would be added to them anyway.

No less, Samsung has now relegated all these devices to the six-monthly update cycle. They'll only get two updates a year from now on. This is probably the last year of support for these phones.
