After months of rumors, voices, suggestions and twists, the Galaxy S21 FE is finally official.In the past few hours, in fact, Samsung has shown the most "talked about" phone of the last few times to the world, exploiting the important showcase of the Ces 2022 of Las Vegas.
As Samsung's enthusiasts know well, the arrival of this phone had been scheduled for August 2021, but the deficiency of chip caused a gigantic delay, so much so that in September a voice that wanted the South Korean company ready to circulate had started to circulategive up this smartphone.
Fortunately, things went differently, although obviously the Galaxy S21 FE arrives on the market with technical specifications now not exactly brand new.
In addition, it must be taken into account that Samsung will launch its new Galaxy S22 series (most likely in the second half of February, editor's note), therefore the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will be the protagonist for a short time will not enjoy the same reception reserved for its predecessor, the Galaxy S20 FE.
Galaxy S21 FE: Design and Hardware
Coated in 'Glassic' with a metal structure, the Galaxy S21 FE will be available in four different colors, i.e. Olive, Graphite, Lavender and White.The island of the camera inclined on the back brings to mind the design of the Galaxy S21 and the Galaxy S21+, launched last year, even if the general design appears a little thinner on this new product.
On the front, the phone can count on Gorilla Glass Victus protection, which should preserve the product from most of the scratches caused by daily use.In addition, the IP68 certification ensures the resistance of the Galaxy S21 FE to water and dust.
Coming to the technical specifications, the smartphone has a 6.4 -inch Amoled display with a 120 Hz screen updating frequency.Differently from what is seen with other top of the range of the Seoul giant, the Galaxy S21 FE is equipped with only an FHD+panel, which is not super clear but which should still ensure a good overall energy efficiency.
As already trapped in many rumors, the Galaxy S21 FE is fed with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, without doubt the most present chip of 2021.Clearly the arrival of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 changed the cards on the table, but Snapdragon 888 still manages to guarantee a very high quality, with excellent performance and great efficiency.The chipset will be combined with two RAM options (6 and 8 GB) and two of storage (128 and 256 GB).In some Asian markets, the Galaxy S21 FE will arrive with an Exynos 2100 processor.
And what about the photo sector?At best we are faced with a phone with a mid -range camera.The Galaxy S21 FE is in fact equipped with 12 MP and wide -angle ultra wide -angle cameras and 12 MP wide angle, as well as an 8 MP telephoto lens that can reach a digital zoom up to 30x.The 32 MP front camera, excellent for selfies, suggests how the product has been designed for a more "youthful" audience.
The 4 battery.500 mAh that equips the Galaxy S21 FE can count on a wireless charging that allows you to load the phone up to 25 W.As expected, there is no charger included in the phone package, therefore users will have to purchase the charger separately.
Galaxy S21 FE: software and functionality
Samsung has added several functionality to the camera, as an automatic portrait mode assisted by artificial intelligence, a double video recording mode that seems ideal for vlogging and the "classic" long -exposure night mode.
To conclude, the Galaxy S21 FE is also the first device to be provided with Android 12 as ONE UI 4 operating system and customization: we should also see the same approach with the next Galaxy S22 series.
Galaxy S21 FE: all prices
Although Samsung has not inserted the figures in the press release, we are able to provide what should be the prices in the Italian market thanks to what the Unieuro and Euronics electronic chains will leaked: the version with 6GB and 128GB of storage should arrive with us, proposed for 769 euros.For the availability of the product Samsung refers to 11 January, but we could see this phone on the market even earlier.
