From time to time, WhatsApp interrupts the support for his oldest versions and, apparently, soon the app will no longer work on some phones.
WhatsApp: Stop on some phones
Within a year, the instant messaging service owned by Facebook will cease to work on different devices.
According to the official FAQ page of WhatsApp, from 1 November 2021 the app will say goodbye to the devices that have the versions of Android 4 as its operating system.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, iOS 9 and Kaios 2.5.0.
So, if you use smartphones with one of the operating systems mentioned above and you want to continue using WhatsApp, we recommend that you update to a more recent version or, if possible, move on to a phone with new minimum requirements for the use of application.
The company also states that from November 1, 2021 WhatsApp will require at least Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, iOS 10 or Kaios 2.5.1;The company explicitly mentions that, regardless of the iOS version, if an iPhone has jailbreak, the app will not work.
Since WhatsApp will collect its older versions of the app on Android and iOS, the changes will not concern many users. However, we cannot say the same for Kaios users: users may not know how to update their phone.
