Samsung to say goodbye to Bixby? According to rumors recently circulated on the net, the company would have commissioned the creation of a 3D character who should become the new voice assistant on the company's products, simply called Sam. The renders have already made fans fall in love!
One of the sources for this news is the user Tech Agent (@techagent26) who has shared a large amount of renders of Sam on his Twitter profile. The images would originally have been shared by Lightfarm, a visual production company that would have been responsible for creating the assistant.
Lightfarm released a statement saying, “Throughout the process, the team focused on developing realistic materials, especially for the character's hair and clothing, so that Sam would appear aesthetically pleasing. Sam has been an incredible collaboration between the Cheil Agency and Lightfarm, and we are thrilled to be a part of this project!”
Sam is represented as a young girl with dark hair and a determined gaze. We can say that the renders have been a success as they have already made many Reddit users lose their minds and a large number of them really hoped the Korean company wanted to make Sam official.
Unfortunately, we have bad news for you. According to user ID (@ninipa_pani), Samsung would have used Sam only as a character for sales training from the Brazilian division and it is absolutely not an official virtual assistant.
However, given the great success that Sam has achieved on the net, it would not be strange to see her appear at least in some promotional video or during the next launch events for Samsung products.
