Samsung smartphones of the future may no longer perform the Android operating system.A (re) launching the rumor is the Leaker and passionate of Dohyun Kim technology, which through its Twitter account makes some interesting info on how (or could be) the phones of the South Korean house will be from 2024.
Let's say since 2024 because Leaker himself has known that the change will not be sudden: "Don't be too excited", he warns, "will take a few years before Samsung adopts it".
Specifically, Samsung should adopt Fuchsia, the new Made in Google operating system that will take the place of Android at least on some smartphones. The strong point of this OS is that it is open source and that - unlike Android - it does not use the Linux kernel but a new kernel called zircon.Fuchsia could be implemented not only on phones: this OS, in fact, is designed to easily adapt to a wide range of intelligent devices, from wearable to computers, obviously passing through tablets. In fact, we have already seen it in version 1.0 on all first generation Nest hubs.
At the moment, Fuchsia "For Smartphone" is still in progress in the Google workshops.Samsung would have contributed to the development of Fuchsia at least in the initial phase, and now it could be the first company to bring it to its products. We still don't know if Fuchsia OS will be accompanied by One UI or by another SKIN owner of Samsung.
Being directly involved in the development, Samsung could obtain a not indifferent advantage over competitors. The latter, in fact, will have very little time to familiarize themselves with the news introduced by Fuchsia. In any case, the public is expected to welcome this transition well, also because Android has always had some problems that Fuchsia could face and manage more efficiently.
